1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Yomitee (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Yomitee app and related services (the “Service”). This policy should be read together with our User Agreement.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information, depending on how you use the Service and which features you enable:
| Category | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Device & usage | Device type, OS version, app version, language, time zone, basic performance diagnostics, crash logs, feature interaction counts. | Operate the app, improve stability/performance, understand feature usage. |
| Identifiers | Advertising identifier or device identifiers if enabled by the platform/your settings; internal random identifiers for diagnostics. | Fraud prevention, debugging, analytics (where used). |
| User content | Photos you choose to import, and outputs you create (e.g., screenshots/recordings) that you keep or share. | Provide the requested interaction/effects and export features. |
| Support communications | Email address and message content when you contact support. | Respond to requests and provide customer support. |
Permissions
If you choose to use photo-based features, the Service will request access through your device’s system permission prompts. You can deny or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings, though some features may not work.
Information we do not intend to collect
We do not intend to collect sensitive personal information (such as precise geolocation, government IDs, biometric identifiers, or health information) as part of the core Service. Please do not send sensitive information via email.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service (including effects rendering, performance tuning, and bug fixes).
- Personalize settings (such as haptics/audio preferences) stored on your device where available.
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- Protect the safety, security, and integrity of the Service (fraud prevention and abuse detection).
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our User Agreement.
4. Sharing & Disclosures
We may share information in the following situations:
- Service providers. Vendors that help us operate the Service (for example, crash reporting, analytics, or cloud infrastructure) may process information on our behalf under contractual obligations.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or prevent fraud/abuse.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections.
- With your direction. If you choose to share exports (screenshots/recordings) using your device’s share sheet or to third-party apps, that sharing is controlled by you and governed by the receiving party’s policies.
Sale/Sharing for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. We do not knowingly “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under certain laws (e.g., California CPRA), unless we explicitly tell you and offer applicable choices.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Diagnostics and crash data are typically retained for a limited period and may be aggregated or de-identified where feasible.
6. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices
- App permissions. Control photos access and other permissions in your device settings.
- Device advertising settings. Control ad tracking preferences through system settings (availability depends on your device/platform).
- Support requests. You can request access, correction, or deletion of certain personal information by emailing us.
